Katelyn M. Gibbons is an Associate at Weiss Burkardt Kramer LLC, having joined the firm in August 2022. Her practice area is focused on education law with a concentration in special education and student services. Prior to joining the firm, Katie was an elementary school teacher in Memphis, Tennessee, which enhances her understanding of and appreciation for her education law practice.
Katie graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University in 2014 and earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law in 2021. While in law school, she served as a student attorney for the Youth Advocacy Clinic where she represented students in both delinquency and school-based matters. Katie received the Outstanding Student Clinical Work Award which is awarded to one law school student per year, as well as the Pro Bono Exemplary Award. She received the Outstanding Appellate Oral Argument Award and the CALI Award in her Legal Research and Writing class.
Katie is admitted to practice in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
