Claude C. Council, Jr., has practiced law in Pittsburgh for more than 35 years, joined Weiss Burkardt Kramer LLC in December of 2014 as Of Counsel. Claude specializes in real estate tax matters, general Solicitor work, and bankruptcy cases. His relationship with Weiss Burkardt Kramer LLC began in 1996 when he began working collaboratively with the firm representing the School District of Pittsburgh.
Claude is the founding partner of Ford & Council where he developed a practice that included student discipline hearings, real estate tax appeals, real estate closings, bankruptcy, and other matters. Since joining WBK, he has focused his practice on all matters concerning real estate, assisting our clients with tax assessment cases.
Prior to joining WBK, Claude served as a law clerk to the late Honorable David W. Craig of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
Claude received his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Gannon College. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association. Claude is admitted to practice in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania
