Aimee R. Zundel is an Equity Partner with Weiss Burkardt Kramer, LLC. She has focused her entire career at WBK on the practice of education law, with particular emphasis in the areas of student services and special education.
Aimee provides day-to-day compliance advising as well as advocacy for school district clients at all levels of state and federal litigation. Aimee has extensive experience representing clients in special education litigation matters before the Pennsylvania Office for Dispute Resolution and at the appellate level. Aimee also represents school clients in the scope of compliance complaints filed with state and federal agencies such as the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
In addition to her student services-focused work, Aimee routinely advises clients on school policy matters, including the development of policies to address legislation and the changing demands of public education. Aimee has been a frequent presenter of professional development sessions for school district administrators and staff on a variety of topics, including special education law, Title IX, and student discipline.
Aimee graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mount Union with a B.A. in Sociology. She obtained her law degree from The University of Pittsburgh in 2008, where she participated as Senior Research Editor for The University of Pittsburgh Law Review. Aimee lives in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh with her husband, Scot, and their two children.
